O'Reilly Learning is a platform that offers access to eBooks and multimedia learning programmes to give real skills in areas of IT, Business, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Project Management and more.

O'Reilly Learning offers a mobile app so you can easily do your readings for your course on the go! You can read, watch or listen to the ebooks and videos through the app. You can install the app from this link here: https://www.oreilly.com/online-learning/apps.html

*Note: Once you have installed the app, sign in with your college email and password to get access.

How to access O'Reilly Learning through NCI Library

  1. Go to the library's homepage
  2. Select 'eBooks' from the 'Collections' menu
  3. Scroll down to find O'Reilly Learning or select 'O' from the top menu

TIP: Right-click on the database name and open in a new tab or window so you can easily return to the list of ebook databases.

You may be prompted to sign in before the O'Reilly Learning page opens - use your college email and network password.

How to use O'Reilly Learning


Use the search box to look for ebooks by subject, title, or author...
Or scroll down to explore popular and suggested ebooks.


See a detailed description of the ebook on the book details page.
Select the 'View table of contents' to browse through the chapters of the ebook.
To start reading the book online select the 'Start Reading Now' button.
Save the ebook to one of your playlists to easily access it at another time.


Select the title of the ebook above to easily browse through the chapters - select a section of the book from the list to skip ahead to that section...
Or select the 'Next' button on the top right to go to the next section of the ebook.
You can use the searching tool to search for information within the ebook.
You can save the ebook to read at another time by selecting the add to playlist icon.


Select the 'Profile' icon and then 'Playlists' from the drop-down menu to access your playlists.
Select the 'New+' button to create a new playlist to save your ebooks in.
Browse your different playlists - create playlists for modules or a specific topic or assignment.
