Due to social distancing measures, access to the library will be operating through an appointment-based system for all students and staff. Before heading into campus, ensure you have booked either a study desk or computer within the library or have organised a pickup time for collecting books through our 'Click & Collect' book service. *Note: You will be required to show your booking or confirmation email upon your arrival to campus and/or the library.

For any queries email us at or chat live with a member of library staff through the LibChat service.

Wearing a mask in the library is mandatory.

It's up to all of us at NCI - please practice the following guidelines when accessing the library:

By following these guidelines not only are you protecting yourself, but you are protecting others. Join us in helping to keep our services open to you and other NCI students and staff.

In the library, you need your student card for the following:

  • Enter & Exit: By swiping your student card on the grey box at the turnstiles, your student card gives you access to enter and exit the library.
  • Borrow Books: To borrow books, you need your student card so you or library staff can access your account on the Self-Service Machine or at the library services desk.
  • Print & Photocopy: Your student card is connected to your print credit account and your student account, so you need your student card to print or photocopy.

Note: Only you can use your card to access the library amenities above. If your card is used by another person, staff are permitted to confiscate it.

Study desks and computers can now be booked. Study spaces are available 10:00 to 13:00 and  14:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday. Make sure to fill out the NCI COVID-19 Questionnaire before the first time you head back to campus.

In the library, we try to promote an ethos of mutual respect with each other when using the library space. This means:

  • turning your phone to silent before entering the library
  • don't take or make any calls in the library
  • finish your conversations before entering the library
  • don't talk out loud in the library
  • please don't eat food in the library, covered drinks are ok

These are all basic things, but together they can make a difference and help maintain a clean, quiet study space for all who use the library.
