Booking a Study Room

If you wish to use a study room during our busiest hours of 10am - 4pm (Monday - Saturday), you must book that room and wait for library staff to approve your booking. When this happens, you will receive an email telling you so (you should use your NCI student email address when booking a room). Bookings are not valid until approved by staff. You must fully complete all fields on the booking form or your request to use a room will be denied.

If you wish to use study rooms outside of these hours, booking is not essential, however it is still possible to book a room. Students should be aware that if they use a room without booking it, and the room is booked by another student, they may be asked to leave so that the student who made the booking may use that room. Therefore, booking is still recommended if use of the room is essential during this time.

Study Rooms can be booked for a maximum of 2 hours per day per group.

If you need to cancel a booking, there will be a link in your confirmation email that will allow you to do this. If you have deleted the email, you can contact us in the library and we can cancel the booking for you. You can drop by the library desk or you can contact us via LibChat or email.

Rooms S4.08 and S5.10 may be used by single students for study purposes; for all other study rooms, a minimum of 2 students is required to make a booking.
