Here is a step-by-step guide for carrying out a Basic Search on Discovery:
Discovery Basic Search is simple and easy to use. You can begin a Basic Search on the NCI Library website or from Discovery's main page. Follow the Basic Search Guide video or pdf document to begin your search!
Use Phrases
Using phrases instead of single search terms will help reduce the number of results. You can search for a phrase by combining single search terms in quotation marks " ".
For Example : "human resource management"
You can also use the Boolean operator AND to search for two phrases at once.
For Example: "human resource management" AND "employee engagement"
Check out the Search Tips Tab above for even more useful tips!
