What is academic integrity? How do you show integrity in your preparation and work? At NCI we provide free access to this online course to help you understand just that.
Epigeum is an online course provider. All NCI staff and students may access Epigeum's course on Academic Integrity (International, 2nd edition) via the Academic Integrity Hub on Moodle. This is a self-directed learning programme which is divided into 4 modules, each of which should take around 30 minutes to complete. You will receive a certificate after successfully completing this programme.
All NCI students are required to complete this training by the 19th January 2026.
1. Visit the Academic Integrity: Writing, Referencing & Avoiding Plagiarism Hub on Moodle. This will appear in your list of courses.
2. In the list of sections on the left-hand side, select Module 1: What is Academic Integrity?
3. Click on Enter to access course materials.
4. Complete all course content by going through each section. You can access each of these sections through the menu on the left.
5. After finishing all of the course content for Module 1, you can take the quiz. Click on the Quiz section to the far left.
6. Take the other three modules, and their quizzes, by navigating to these in the far-left menu.
7. After you have completed all sections, and passed each of the 4 quizzes with a score of at least 80%, you may receive your certificate by navigating to the Academic Integrity: For Students, Second Edition - Certificate section. Until you pass all 4 quizzes, you will not have this certificate.
The verification code on your certificate may be added to your Project Cover Sheet whenever you submit assessments or coursework in the future. The location of the Certificate Verification Code is highlighted below:
